CELTICS AVENGE ONLY LOSS OF SEASON​

 

The Celtics hosted the visiting Knights in an afternoon showdown on Tuesday. In their previous meeting this season, which was the season opener, the Knights edged the Celtics 2-1 in what has so far been the only loss surrendered this season by the Celtics.

 

The Celtics opened the scoring in the second period on a goal by Matthew Hlacar. The Celtics doubled their lead in the third period on Hlacar's second of the game.  The Knights quickly answered beating Celtic goalie Jacob Hicks with a quick wrister from the top of the circle off the faceoff. The Knights poured on the pressure in the 3rd with 4 breakaways and multiple odd man rushes, but Hicks closed the door and secured the hard fought victory for the Celtics. The Celtics outshot the Knights 35-20.​
