CELTICS AVENGE ONLY LOSS OF SEASON

The Celtics hosted the visiting Knights in an afternoon showdown on Tuesday. In their previous meeting this season, which was the season opener, the Knights edged the Celtics 2-1 in what has so far been the only loss surrendered this season by the Celtics.

The Celtics opened the scoring in the second period on a goal by Matthew Hlacar. The Celtics doubled their lead in the third period on Hlacar's second of the game.  The Knights quickly answered beating Celtic goalie Jacob Hicks with a quick wrister from the top of the circle off the faceoff. The Knights poured on the pressure in the 3rd with 4 breakaways and multiple odd man rushes, but Hicks closed the door and secured the hard fought victory for the Celtics. The Celtics outshot the Knights 35-20.
